I’ve heard quite a good number of people say that one needs lots of money to look classy.
You actually don’t need to spend lots of money when it comes to elevating your look! This is such a huge scam! Yes it is lol! Incase this is your school of thought, you need to have dropped off that band wagon like yesterday.
After learning from various fashion gurus, compiled below are quick tips which you can incorporate in your wardrobe and achieve that classy look without spending lots of money.
Tip 1: Lay your foundations correctly for that smooth silhouette
They say the kind of foundation you lay before building a house really impacts on the outcome. This applies to dressing as well. Most of us don’t give a second thought at times to this tiny winy pieces which can make a world of difference.
I happened to attend this wedding in Mombasa, sometimes late last year. The master of ceremony was wearing this very cute dress but unfortunately her entire look was ruined by this undergarments she was wearing. The outer shape of the entire undergarments could be seen anytime she turned. Yes she had the best outfit but wrong undergarments. What an injustice to her whole ensemble that was!
Invest in good quality undergarments that fit perfectly. This will not only give you that extra confidence boost but will make what you lay over look polished giving you that smooth silhouette.

Tip 2: Choose your colors tastefully
Colors play a huge impact in getting that classy look.
Well, i don’t know your personal style but if you choose to color block or be matchy matchy just remember to go for colors that are cohesive. Wearing well integrated colors which are definitely not extreme will elevate your look tremendously.

Tip 3: Pay attention on your fittings
Wearing pieces that match up to your body’s shape, enabling you move freely without adding extra weight, is what i’d define as a perfect fit. Well fitting garments displays some real elegance. Trust me!
Our bodies keep changing every now and then. At times you add few ponds and then loose some. It’s hence wise to have routine closet de-clattering to discard pieces that are too loose or clingy.

Tip 4: Accessorize well
Accessories give your look that overall interesting charm. Two different people can wear the same outfit but one might look very frumpy and the other extremely elegant.
Accessories are highly individualized. Choose tasty pieces. Less will always be more. Try not to exaggerate by for example wearing a necklace, watch and numerous bangles all at once. That will be too dramatic. You don’t need to have a huge pack of jewellery. Diligently opt for few master pieces that are timeless and hence can be worn for a while without looking off.
Don’t forget to pay attention to your handbags and sunglasses. They very well fall under accessories.

Tip 5: Avoid those huge branded logos
Going for stuff that has those big fake conspicuous designer logos is a turn off. Fakes can be spotted from afar. If you can’t afford to get those original designers, which is not a must anyway, go for quality pieces from other affordable designers. Life is not that complicated.

I like what you said about wearing well-fitted clothing. If you’re not comfortable, it’s going to show . I tend to buy my clothes looser, and it sometimes ends up looking too baggy. So, this is a great reminder the next time I go shopping.

Definitely ditch the logos! Another thing that I find makes a difference is having clean clothes. If there are stains, buttons missing, rips (except for sometimes jeans), you will look shabby even if you spent a lot of money on your clothes.

I love to accessorize and I have lots of things. But, I’m not good at it and sometimes forget. I need to do better, for sure. I tend to go casual, but you’re right, adding an accessory or two can make a big difference.
